Hey guys, I know it’s been a wee while since there’s been any major posts here and I can only apologise for that. I’ve been going through a very transitional period you could say and there’s been a lot of things I have needed to figure out.
I just want to start off by saying I do adore running this website, I love the community and I love promoting you guys and providing you with resources. However, there’s obviously been a lot of stuff happening since Episode cracked down on the use of assets and that in itself has made it difficult to provide you guys with a catalogue of backgrounds. As well as this there’s been some issues with backgrounds I’ve uploaded that are not copyright free, I do ask everyone I work with if the backgrounds are their own and I’m not blaming anyone here because I know how difficult it is trying to figure out what’s copyrighted/royalty free etc. I have recently been contacted by Google saying that there are images that violate copyright laws which effects the website and all things like that. The only way to get around this would be for me to personally check each image I would be uploading to see if it violates copyright which I did start doing but the time it was taking me was ridiculous.
On top of this, I also have a number of other work projects I’m working on and I’m not gonna lie, it’s all getting a bit much for me. I’ve been extremely overwhelmed, stressed and exhausted. So with this being said I’ve had a long think and come to the hard decision that for the time being I’m going to have to pull back from the website for now. It’s hard for me because I have really loved running the site and I’m not saying I won’t come back to it from time to time but I just can’t commit the time to it that it needs and I need to remove something from my workload for my own mental sanity. I would love to get into a position at some point where I can afford to hire people to help run the site full time and hopefully that will happen.
Please don’t think of this as a goodbye or that this is it, I will still post to the Instagram page as well to keep in touch with you guys and for promo posts but I just didn’t want to go quiet on you and not be upfront and let you all know what’s happening.
Thank you all so much for your support and love with the website and for welcoming a noob like me into the community, if it wasn’t for you guys I wouldn’t have loved doing it so much.
